FindOnClick

There is no need to convince someone to use a search engine. It goes without saying that you can find something much faster this way. A search function is available in almost any application or operating system. The only thing to concern yourself about is how fast or comfortable the search engine is. Any demand you may have will be met by FindOnClick. The options and parameters it offers will help you find data on any type of memory device, local or removable.

The setup process will not keep you waiting for too long. After downloading the 1.78 Mb installation kit, you will have to navigate a straightforward wizard. The system requirements are not high and the software can run on any Windows version, from Win 2000 to Win 7.

Like most search engines, FindOnClick is not hard to use. The main window features a list where results will be displayed. When the program is launched, a small window, with search options, will appear. It can also be brought up manually, by clicking a button on the toolbar. Simply type what you are looking for, select what drive to look in and click the Search button. You can also set the program to display only duplicate files, or highlight them in the results list.

There is also an expert mode which can be enabled by clicking a navigation tab on the previously mentioned window. When enabled, the window will be larger and it will display more tabs, with advanced search options. Before starting the search, you can set the software to include or exclude certain file types, search for files which are within a certain size or date range or files with certain attributes. Clicking a series of check boxes, under the Attributes tab, the program may be set to look for files which are hidden, compressed, encrypted, not indexed or meet other specifications.

Once the search is done, you may perform certain actions like copying files or their Hash values to the clipboard, open them with a certain application and more. These options can be found in a context menu, after right clicking a file in the results list.
